Thanks to Florence and Bob Kersey who provided a cozy setting complete with sweets for the valentine holiday just passed, yours truly was able to take the group on a virtual tour of Virgina sampling only their Gold medal winners Thanks to Pennee Parker’s on the road job, my own recurring need to return to VA and the cellar of a VA friend. The basement was full, the chairs arranged in rows and we could almost imagine a bus traveling the rolling hills of VA as we tasted familiar wine varieties and marveled at the effects of terroir. The wines presented:

The Eisbergs, the Browns and Rachele/Valas report that the wine dinner at Harryman House with Carolyn Wente was well worth the price. They will be running to Cranberry to place their orders for some of the wines tasted that evening.

Reminder that the April meeting at the Benzil’s will be held on the 22nd and not the 15th due to conflicts with holidays. We will be traveling south of the border to experience South American wines.
