Hello,
I certainly need to start this newsletter with a big
THANK YOU to the Grillons. I can't imagine what could have happened
to make our chapter family picnic more perfect. George and Jackie
went above and beyond with the pool, the fishing, horseback rides
followed by the house tour. They have made our transition from the
much beloved Wood's home so much easier than any of us could have imagined.
Our August tasting will be at the home of Dick and
Emily Murray, Sunday, Aug. 17th at 2 p.m. You can call
them to RSVP. You may want to call early, as we will be
limiting attendance to 30 because of seating concerns. Dick also
asked me to tell you that the intersection of Green and Anchor
streets is closed due to the Westminster sinkhole problem.
This will be our national tasting meeting so come
prepared to score (no strong cologne/perfume) and turn your sheets
in. The topic is CABERNET VINTAGE COMPARISON: 1999 VS 2000 OR 2000 VS
2001. It should turn out to be an interesting and entertaining tasting.
The Maryland Wine Festival is soon upon us so
please remember to get in touch with Emily Johnston. She needs
lots of volunteers to make the Wine Education booth run smoothly. So
if you haven't heard from her yet give her a call or send email to egjohnston@compuserve.com.

my money?"
